A fragrance name is only the beginning. The base, the binders and the aromatic materials all have a part to play.
Selected wood and herbal powders give the stick its body and naturally earthy appearance. It is a coreless format, so there is no separate bamboo stick beneath the fragrance layer.
Natural binders hold the composition together. Depending on the variant, the system can include joss/jiggat, guar gum and natural resinous binders such as ral-type materials.
We describe the formulation rather than using the imprecise phrase “chemical-free”.
Guggul and Loban are resin-led editions. In Guggul, ground gum-resin is incorporated into the base itself at more than 30% of the base formulation.

A note such as honey, vanilla, oudh or saffron describes an aromatic impression unless a specific ingredient is declared. We do not claim every note is a pure essential oil.
Fully dried cow-dung biomass may be included where appropriate to the formulation. We do not hide an animal-derived material behind the phrase “100% botanical base”, and we do not describe these products as vegan.
Using an existing biomass material is part of a traditional formulation approach. It does not, by itself, establish lower emissions, a reduced carbon footprint or air-purifying properties. Ask for the full composition of your selected variant when these details matter to you.
We do not add charcoal to the formulation. It does not mean smoke-free, non-toxic or zero particulate emissions. Formulation and emissions are different questions. Read the evidence distinction.

No blanket claim is made across the range. Guggul and Loban are resin-led. Selected floral and woody blends use essential oils and other aromatic materials. Each product page explains its particular direction.
We do not say that all competing incense contains banned dyes, industrial solvents or unsafe fragrance materials. Such an allegation requires sample-specific evidence. Our brief identifies unsuitable materials to avoid and documentation to check; it is not a laboratory survey of the market.
